I can still remember back when
Metallica claimed that they would never invite the idea
of ever making a music video. Oh yea, that’s when they believed in wearing only jeans
and t-shirts and made some of the most potent epic metal
that would forever change harder edged rock. Why couldn’t
they just keep their word? Some say the video killed the
radio star; well it sure as hell helped contribute to killing
the artistic freedom Metallica was so dear regarded for.
Now they were involved in the corporate music world they
never dreamed they could be a part of.
This DVD contains all the videos
that were consistently pumped out of the Metallica camp
after the huge success of their infamous “Black” album.
Included on this DVD are Twenty One videos in all with
every thing from the dark images of “Enter Sand Man” to
even their very surprisingly strong video for “St.
Anger” at
San Quintin Prison facility. I will say I did visually enjoy
watching the trend following images that were captured over
their lengthy career as the metal messiahs of the nineties
but with that said this still ain’t much for your hard
earned buck. For Metallica fans this offers nothing new to
jonez over but if Metallica is your thing then I’m
sure this would be a gracious purchase to further the art
collection fund for Lars. |
