Snuggled quietly on the west shores
of Lake Michigan the city of Muskegon has steadily become
a summer hot bed for live music. Now entering the 13th year
of its existence, Muskegon has again returned with its increasingly
popular festival “The Summer Celebration”.
Since its creation in 1993 the Muskegon Summer Celebration
has been host to over 150 musical acts from all walks of the
musical world. Artists such as LL. Cool J, Nickelback, The
Allman Brothers, Three Dog Night, The Spinners, Santana, The
Wall Flowers and a slew of others have graced the stages of
the lakeshore festival making this one of Michigan’s
most quickly growing premier summer attractions.
Boasting yet again another spectacular line up sure to light
up the skies of the Muskegon Lakeshore this year’s 11
day festival promises to be better then ever. Like in previous
years, ticket prices are kept down to a very reasonable price
per event giving concert goers an affordable night of family
fun. If you choose you may also purchase the Sappi 11 day
pass for the incredibly reasonable price of $80.00 ensuring
your admission to all 11 nights. These passes tend to go very
fast and have a limit of 6 per purchaser. This year the roster
of artists will include the likes of The Los Lonely Boys,
Seether, Collective Soul, Brad Paisley, Alter Bridge, Whitesnake,
Journey, Howie Day, and Styx to name but just a few.
Not only does the Muskegon Summer Celebration play host
to an eclectic mixture of musical acts, the festival as
well features other family attractions ensuring enjoyment
for all. Midway rides and a spectacular July 4th fireworks
show are just sample of what other entertainment awaits
visitors of all ages.
