Self proclaimed beer tent capitol of the world Muskegon Michigan again adds their own fuel to the fire of summer festivals. Over a ten day period the lakeshores family geared Muskegon Summer Celebration played host to a slew of musical acts ranging from the likes of The New Cars, Daughtry The Goo Goo Dolls, Inxs, BB King and a slew of other touring artist. Schwegweb was able to get some coverage from the likes of Black Stone Cherry, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, The New Cars, The Wailers, and Cowboy Mouth.
Easily the overwhelming abundance of summer concerts and the lack luster selection of flash back artists on the Summer Celebration lineup have easily hurt ticket sales over the years and 2007 was no different. The pop sounds of Daughtry and the historic prestige of BB King were the only acts that seemed to draw sell out crowds while other acts just didn't seem to garnish the steam needed to get tickets sold in masses.
Hopefully this festival can lock down some of the more popular and larger acts in the years ahead because with a beautiful location and a span of 0ver a week this festival has the capabilities to be even a more exciting draw for all music fans.
