I really only
have one DMB cd and its Central Park Live recording, though
i have heard a lot of his work on the radio. I was a bit
skeptical being that the reviews I've read along the way
have been largely negative but I have to say that I disagree
after hearing it a few times.
This cd has a little something for everybody from the slower
more quiet vibe of "steady as we go" to a throwback
of his previous track "Stay" in "Stand Up".
To best describe this cd two words come to mind; Coffeehouse
Jam. I really feel that it's moving in the right direction
for DMB being that its unlike what they've done in the past.
His vocals in "Stolen Away" are a bit restrained
I thought while the "Bayou" gives you a little
more grunge to his voice.
I think he's thrown it out there maybe because he's tired
of repeating himself and wanted to throw the fan base a
little curve. Whatever the reason I'll keep this one on
heavy rotation for a while.
