Jonah Matranga is a name that is renowned in the music scene with his work in Far, Onelinedrawing, and his more recent effort in Gratitude. So when ‘There’s a Lot in Here’ came into my tenure I was curious to find out what I was in store for. Although the release was a DVD/CD combination, I'm only going by what was on the CD.

The disc features a collection of songs, which were featured on the DVD portion. Most of which are older songs from previous projects, again Onelinedrawing and so on. The first segment gives you six rough-cut acoustic demos recorded in a living room with friends. The second is finishes with live recordings from a show done at the Chain Reaction in Anaheim, California. A lot of the songs are your standard, run of the mill, pop rock. The kind of stuff anybody’s girlfriend would love.

My review for this album is pretty short because I can’t really say much about it. The sound quality is mucky, deficient, and to a small degree, deadening. If this was a recording from some unknown, up and coming artist. It was easily be passed up and forgotten. But since it has a credible name attached to it, it gets a few more plays than normal. Without a doubt its something for those who are fans of Jonah's work, otherwise 'There's a Lot in Here' is something I would rarely recommend.
