Dead Droid Records brings out a fresh new twist on Indie rock with the release of Rescue-Volume Plus Volume. Rescue combines the usage of aggressive guitar rock, thick bass lines, and some instruments rarely found in rock such as a piano to get their style across to the listener. Indie rock usually ends up being in a hit or miss situation, either you really like it, or you cannot stand it. Fortunately for the listener, it ends up being a refreshing experience that the person can enjoy.

Talent that most mainstream acts seem to lack is ever so present within the band. Guitar lines seem well thought out, match the music, and neglect simplicity. Lyrics flow and add that extra something too the music, yet the singer is a little too high pitched for my personal preferences. Disciplined and technical drumming complete the package. The final product is an almost punk like sound set amongst a broader more complete musical adventure, almost like punk grown up.

The CD is worth the $$ spent on it, buy it and enjoy one of the better indie releases of the year. If you are a fan of rock that isn't too loud and isn't too soft, this should be a definite purchase.
