Down and dirty blues saturated sonic grooves, The Black Keys simply rule. Straying so far from the trendy mall rocking putrid crap that oh so many seem to love The Black Keys just simply keep it real, and I mean keep it really real.

Bare bones song structures capturing that low-fi sound of yesterday easily is the key root of these masters of gritty raw blues induced rock and oh they do it so damn well. I won’t even begin to bore you with all the retro comparisons that seem to seep from Magic Potion because in the end all that matters is these f@ckers do their rock 'n' roll home work and they must have gotten an A+.

It is pretty obvious that the Delta Blues and other historic foot stopping styles are a huge influence on the Black Keys and what a treat it is to see an Indie rock artist mixing it up with such honesty.

If you’re at all a fan of Jon Spencer, The White Stripes and other raw rockers but still enjoy a more straight forward blues feel then by all means get this.
